Subject: FOIL Requests

Dear Associate Vice President Beditz,

I write to you as the Records Access Officer. Following are three requests, made under the Freedom of Information Law of New York State. The requests are related to research misconduct by Prof. W.-C. Wang; some background on that is available here:
  http://www.informath.org/apprise/a5620.htm

1.  I request a copy of the full report by the Inquiry Committee.

2.  I request a copy of the full report by the Investigation Committee.

3.  Whereas relevant federal funding agencies are required to be notified when a misconduct investigation is initiated, I request copies of all such notifications that were sent by the University and pertain to the investigation of Prof. Wang.

Kindly e-mail me the appropriate records.

If any portions of any of my requests are denied, please inform me of the reasons for the denials in writing and provide the name, address, and e-mail address of the person or body to whom an appeal should be directed.

Sincerely,

Douglas J. Keenan
